Dr. Richard Routh

Dr. Richard Routh came to faith in Jesus Christ at the age of eighteen during his first year of college through the ministry of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ). Since that time, he has devoted more than five decades to studying the Scriptures, deepening his relationship with God, and seeking to walk faithfully with his Lord.

Over the years, Dr. Routh has become widely recognized as a gifted Bible teacher. For the past thirty-four years, he has served as the primary adult Sunday School teacher in his church, helping believers grow in their understanding of God's Word and its practical application to daily life.

Dr. Routh currently serves as the CEO of Great Commission Training Ministries, a 501(c)(3) Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping Christian leaders to become more effective in the work of discipleship and spiritual multiplication. Through this ministry, he focuses on developing biblically grounded training resources that help believers mature in their faith and fulfill Christ's Great Commission.

A scholar of both Greek and Hebrew, Dr. Routh has devoted significant effort to Bible translation and exposition. He has served as the primary translator for Great Commission Training Ministries' explanatory translations of several New Testament books. Among his published works are a twenty-day devotional guide based on the Gospel of Luke and a two-hundred-page expository study of Psalm 119. He has also translated and published explanatory editions of First John and Galatians and is currently completing a translation and commentary on Ephesians.

From 2012 through 2022, Dr. Routh served as CEO of Victorum, Inc., an organization dedicated to helping Christians identify and understand the often-unrecognized presuppositions that shape their worldview. Through that work, he helped believers see how their underlying beliefs could either support or hinder their ability to live out the truths of the Gospel.

Dr. Routh holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master of Arts degree, a Master of Science degree, and a Ph.D. In addition to his ministry leadership responsibilities, he serves as a professional coach to Christian CEOs, helping business and ministry leaders align their organizations with the principles of biblical wisdom.

Together with his wife, Dr. Routh continues to serve the body of Christ through counseling and discipleship. They regularly assist adults in areas such as premarital counseling, spiritual growth, and the practical application of Scripture to life's challenges.

Richard and his wife have been married for forty-seven years. They are the grateful parents of five adult children, all of whom love, serve, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Their family stands as a testimony to God's faithfulness across generations and to the transforming power of a life built upon the wisdom of His Word.
